We are Jess & Julian
We’re Gen X content creators and proud “slowmads,” traveling the world and settling in each destination for 2–3 months at a time. This slow style of travel lets us deeply connect with the people, culture, and everyday rhythm of each place. From capturing the energy of street life and traditional celebrations to sharing culinary delights with new friends, we thrive on authentic human connection and storytelling.
Our adventures take us from forest trails and mountain peaks to sunlit beaches and vibrant city streets. We embrace nature, adventure, and the small sensory moments that define a journey—the aroma of fresh coffee in a morning forest, the wind filling our sails, or a sunset reflected on quiet water.
Having explored over 30 countries (some multiple times), we move comfortably through airports, trains, buses, ferries, and boats. Photography, cultural immersion, and genuine storytelling drive everything we do. We’re equipped for any weather or environment, ready to create rich, compelling content that brings your brand’s vision to life.
A little bit about Jess
Jess – The Intentional Nomad
Jess is a U.S.-born explorer who has called 11 states home, from coast to coast. With a strong background in project and operational management, she’s led teams within Fortune 500 companies, supported privately held ventures, and launched several successful businesses of her own.
In 2022, Jess chose a different path—stepping away from the traditional business world to embrace full-time travel as an Intentional Nomad. Her journey isn’t about ticking destinations off a list, but about creating meaningful, human connections.
A self-proclaimed foodie, Jess makes it a point to join local food and wine tours in every country she visits and often takes immersive cooking classes to uncover the heart of regional flavors. Her favorite moments are shared around a table—trading stories, laughter, and recipes with locals, diving into the soul of each culture.
With an empath’s heart and a genuine love for people, Jess has a natural talent for connection—and it shows in the content she creates. With more than a decade behind the lens capturing travel, aerial/drone, nature, landscape, and street photography, she now channels her storytelling craft into UGC creation—bringing culture, curiosity, and authenticity to every brand she collaborates with.
A little bit about Julian
Julian - The Intentional Nomad II
Julian's roots are in the UK, but she's as at home teaching in a Ghanaian shanty town or traversing Indian rice fields on a ‘scootie’. Destination and journey have always been of equal importance, but since Jess and Julian became partners and shared their wanderlust, she would say it’s the company that’s key.
Julian’s career spans civil engineering, HR, personal development, expedition leadership, outdoor pursuits and education - culminating in 4 years as an Assistant Headteacher. In 2025, a qualified head, Julian reset her map and made a strategic decision to leave strategic management behind, to embark on the 'slowmad' journey and create UGC as the other side of the “Intentional Nomad” partnership.
Julian’s perspective on where to call home is rooted in home being about experiences and connections, pausing long enough in a place to view the world through connections, conversations, encounters and experiences. She's just at home abseiling as sat in a local bar catching up with friends back home.
Landed in a new country, camera in hand and a script panning out, Julian will be searching for new adventures before leaving the airport.
